This transcription was inspired by the Feuermann recording.
-George Neikrug

Frédéric Chopin wrote 21 Nocturnes for solo piano which are generally considered among the finest short solo works for the instrument and hold an important place in contemporary concert repertoire.  The famous E-Flat Major Nocturne was brilliantly adapted by the Spanish virtuoso Pablo de Sarasate for the violin.  In this violoncello transcription George Neikrug has tried to be true to the original Sarasate violin score note for note.
