Comprehensive String Pedagogy & Curriculum (CSPC) presents time-tested principles, approaches, and techniques in a highly original manner that challenges and empowers teachers and conductors of both conventional youth orchestras and sistema-inspired ensembles.

Volume 2 provides the most essential "technique fundamentals" for each string instrument, presented in easy-to-reference bullet points.

A wide range of "classical" pieces are included. Some are originals, others are arrangements by Angelo Linguine, Richard Young’s pseudonym. There are also "popular" pieces plus a number of traditional Christmas selections.

A few chamber music pieces from the standard quartet repertoire are included, as well as “etude-encores” that target particular technical challenges.

There are fingerings & bowings in all the string parts of every one of CSPC's pieces. These "cooked-in" technical solutions target the particular levels of the students. They are not just pragmatic but "musical."

WAVE audio files that provide accompaniments for many of the Elementary pieces are available.

Extra "beginners" parts are provided for some of the more advanced pieces.

For every one of the CSPC pieces, there are accompanying notes that provide background information, technical suggestions, and personal insights. They aim for an unusually high level because teachers are more likely to challenge their students if they are challenged.
