This madrigal is a happy and dancing movement for a cappella choir. The cello ensemble arrangement is quite simple and particularly suitable for children.

Italian text:
A lieta vita
Amor c'invita, Fa la la
Chi gior brama,
Se di cor ama,
Donerà il core
A un tal Signore, Fa la la
Or lieta omai
Scacciando i guai, Fa la la
Quanto ci resta
Viviamo in festa
E diam I'onore
A un tal Signore, Fa la la
Chi a Lui non crede
Privo è di fede, Fa la la
Onde aver merta
Contra se aperta
L'ira e 'l furore
D'un tal Signore, Fa la la
Ne fuggir giova
Ch'egli ognun trova, Fa la la
Veloci ha l'ali
E foco e strali
Dunque s'ardore
Un tal Signore, Fa la la.
English text:
A Happy Life
Love calls us, Fa la la
Whose long days,
If the heart loves
Give to the foundation
In such a Lord, Fa la la
Or pleased henceforth
Chasing trouble, Fa la la
With what remains
We live in celebration
And have the honor daily
In such a Lord, Fa la la
Who does not believe in Him
Is devoid of faith, Fa la la
In order to have merit
Instead of isolation
Anger and fury
In such a Lord, Fa la la
As it should flee
Every man as he is, Fa la la
Soon has wings
And fire and arrows
So we all adore
Such a Lord, Fa la la.
