If there is any popular song that is almost too cool for anyone over 30, this is it! Many Latin American children already know the words. So when they are then offered the chance to play this heart-pumping instrumental version, they are especially motivated to meet the challenges. There's no doubt that American kids will love this piece too – not because it's familiar, but because (for them) it's exotic. And cool!
As with some of the other Linguine arrangements, there are extra Elementary parts for 3rd violin, 2nd viola, 2nd cello, and 2nd bass which make it possible for everyone to participate. The Elementary kids feel like rock stars, and the Intermediate and Advanced students share the responsibility for the children's progress. Just as one is never too old to learn, one is never too young to help others learn.

Full program notes are included with the score. There are fingerings and bowings in all the string parts of every one of CSPC's pieces. These "cooked-in" technical solutions target the particular levels of the students. They are not just pragmatic but "musical."
Please note that due to a loss of source files, the PDF files of the music have been generated from scanned copies of printed parts. While every effort has been made to produce high quality parts, the limitations of scanning will result in some degradation of print quality.
